Summer Party 2024 of the Berlin-Brandenburg Economic Council: An evening with Peter Gräf and Senator Joe Chialo
On September 27, 2024, we from the GRAEF Group had the honor of attending the traditional summer party of the Berlin-Brandenburg Economic Council. Our CEO, Peter Gräf, was one of the invited guests who came together on this special evening at the Bar jeder Vernunft to exchange ideas with leading figures from business and politics in a relaxed atmosphere.
An evening dedicated to the cultural and creative industries
The summer party offered us, as well as around 180 other members of the Economic Council, an excellent opportunity to review the past year and discuss new perspectives for the future. The event took place in the charming mirrored marquee of the Bar jeder Vernunft, whose unique atmosphere provided the perfect setting for an evening full of inspiring conversations and interesting ideas.
The focus of the evening was the guest of honor and political speaker, Joe Chialo, Senator for Culture and Social Cohesion of the State of Berlin. His speech offered us valuable insights into the immense importance of the cultural and creative industries for the Berlin-Brandenburg region. It was particularly impressive to note that more people are employed in this sector than in the chemical industry, which underlines its relevance for the economy as a whole.

For us as the GRAEF Group, it was particularly exciting to hear from Joe Chialo how the cultural and creative industries not only act as a figurehead for the region, but also as a driving force for many innovative projects. The numerous small and medium-sized companies in this sector make a significant contribution to the attractiveness of Berlin-Brandenburg as a business location, which encourages us to think about possible synergies and collaborations.
Chialo, himself a successful entrepreneur and music manager, has supported major artists such as Santiano and The Kelly Family as the founder of Airforce 1 Records. His experience in the cultural sector and his political career make him an impressive personality who knows how to combine economic and cultural aspects.
An evening full of exchange and entertainment
After Senator Chialo's inspiring speech, we enjoyed an exquisite course menu, accompanied by Ulrich Michael Heissig's unique cabaret performance. In his role as Irmgard Knef, Heissig provided humorous entertainment and rounded off the evening in an entertaining way.
For the GRAEF Group, the summer party was a great opportunity to network with other business leaders, gather new ideas and spend the evening in a relaxed yet inspiring atmosphere.
